I always wanted to be able to play this and a few others. Once I get high speed on my own computer I will get it down using this. I;d like to see hungry like the wolf too!

Great stuff Zuma. I love the bass line of this song. I think you should re-do this video. The lighting and production is just not up to par as some of your later posted videos. I can’t criticize your playing so I will bug you a bit on the video. :)

Yeah, I may redo it one day but I wouldn’t hold my breath! Thanks

Don’t know if someones mentioned already but the cat behind the chair was ready and waiting just before he started playing!

Great job! I’ve played this song years ago back in high school but never like that. What effects are you using? compression, chours, EQ,??? and what kind of amp are you using? And if you have a site where you can get those tabs please post it. ?

Great job! But why do you do not use your pinky? it might ease the job a little bit. Nevertheless, great playing.

this is great. I am a beginner bassist and I always thought this tune would be UNPLAYABLE for me. I scanned a few tabs and then after watching you, I was able to figure out the seemingly impossible verse (havent attempted the chorus yet haha) – the ghosting came easily for me – but the spreading of my fingers and the speed/keeping up with the music is the hard part for me. I guess practice practice practice! Zuma – you are amazing.

I’m just starting to play the bass also — about 3 weeks now.
You are right, practice, practice, practice!!!
Try ‘It’s my life” on the bass; it is a fun song to play.

how do u do the chours bit like the slap or wat ever the is i cant get it

  13. zumazmusic says:

Here is the thing, don’t try the conventional slap technique, what you have to do is just finger the notes but then you “pluck” with your middle finger. So, just play the octaves but pull the strings on the top notes only. Don’t slap with your thumb in this case (unless you’re REALLY quick and can get into position again for the next run).

    FAbulous

    first, you’re great.
second, i’m new to the bass, coming from a guitar background. so nautrally i’m hitting ghost notes wth my thumb, on the string below, such as on the low e string, with my thumb, just before i play the higher e note. is this not acceptable?

    Very nicely done.
