    FANASTIC VIDEO!!!

  2. d00derson says:

That is a complete bastardization of a Tele.

  3. seth3556r says:

    What?

  4. d00derson says:

If you want a guitar that generic, then buy a fucking Dean or something. Telecasters aren’t meant to have all of that flashy shred style shit on them. If you want a Tele, then take it as it comes, Ash (or Alder) body and all, with single coil pickups and dot inlays and all. Plus, a flamed maple Tele wouldn’t look that good. It would completley take away from its basic, workhorse look.

  5. seth3556r says:

Hey why don’t fucking shut your mouth! I have no idea why you’re even texting me, I don’t even know why you’re being shitty to me, but I don’t fucking care dickhead. Fender has made a “Superstrat” and I was posting a text on my ideas of a “Supertele”. I will someday have a Telecaster guitar to those modifications whether you like it or not.

  6. d00derson says:

I’m not trying to be shitty, it just pisses me off when somebody uses a Tele for metal/shred, which are the only genres it isn’t suitable for. I think john5 is great, and he actualy has a tasteful rendition of a telecaster than can be used for such styles, but what you described just sounds horrendous. If you want all of that shit, get an endorsment from ESP (they practicly hand them out) and they’ll make a rip-off of a Tele with all of that shit. But don’t fuck with Fender like that.

  7. d00derson says:

It would cost a lot… please describe what you have in mind.

  8. seth3556r says:

I meant like getting a shred tele, but with the preserved idea of the tele idea.

  9. seth3556r says:

I think I might just build one myself, people I know who have had custom jobs have been ripped off. I think I’ll just see what I dig up, thanks for the advice.

  10. d00derson says:

Yeah, it’s kinda hard not to get ripped off because you have to pay twice of what the guitar is worth, just because it isn’t a standard production model. But building a guitar with a flamed maple top with a succesful transparent finsh would be quite difficult, unless you have the experience to do so.

  11. d00derson says:

Other than john5, I haven’t seen a succesfuly preserved metal/shred tele. Jim Root’s is an abomination because he has no respect for the guitar at all, he just wanted a bunch of shit you could find on a damn ESP on a Tele, but john5 didn’t fuck with the basic Tele formula too much. And 5 can actualy play, unlike that generic hack Root… Slipknot sucks.

  12. seth3556r says:

Yeah I’m not a fan of Root’s playing at all. John 5 is pretty good. But still I believe a “Supertele” would be awesome.

  13. d00derson says:

Yeah I guess it would be. It’s just for some reason, Teles have to get special treatment.

  14. slacker083 says:

d00derson doesn’t know shit seth3556r. do what you want.

i really like this vid. but theres too much argument on this page about fenders and “high performence guitars” may i just same there not metal guitars, there not funk guitars, there not punk guitars. THERE GUITARS and its that simple

  18. TheBlackCrayon77 says:

Right on guys, hey don’t forget Leo made some killer guitars with G&L. I love Fender and will always be a Tele player. I’m inching my way into becoming a Strat player but still haven’t worked up the nerve to go out and get one. I know what you all must be thinking, “Is he crazy!?” I’ll get there, I just gotta get use to the necks, they sound just beautiful though.
