guitar players who never touch a bass and claim its easy are total douches with no respect for another instrument. if you play guitar i dare you to play a 4 minute song with your fingers on bass. your fingers will rip before 2 minutes is up. ive been playing bass for 4 years and i still get rough spots during long songs. also its a completely different style. every time i see a guitarist play bass they play guitar on the bass its pathetic. so dont ever try and say a bassist is disposable.

I play electric bass, and when I tried guitar my fingers hurt even worse because the strings were so fine they gave me cuts. Guitarists can’t play bass and Bassists can’t play the first four strings of guitar that well.

What you should say is you can’t play the first four strings of guitar that well.
I play and love both instruments, and the callouses I’ve developed from the thicker gauge strings on bass have helped me on the thinner gauge strings on guitar.
