i think he is playing open d
the same ,but his movings of hands are very big so it`s not only one string,and you can see that he doesn`t muting the other strings and doesn`t even touching the fretboard with the left hand, and also they are playing in Em key not in Dm key like on the recording.
and i saw the positions – the tuning is standart
