He’s not a funk god. His stuff was really more R&B than funk. Like The Brothers Johnson (Louis’s Band) was more funk.
Those are called ghost notes and it’s one of the hardest things to do because he’s keeping a rhythm with his slapping hand. Good luck attempting that, nonetheless that fast.
For the last fucking time, I was referring to Cliff Burton ! I love Louis Johnson, he is my favourite bass player.
Well considering he was one of the pioneers of slapping I think he can do it just fine.
You should buy a bass because you like the way it sounds and feels……Not because a big player uses one.
