No, I don’t actually, I play guitar. But I love bass solos. No offense, seriously, but please tell me what’s different about the bass in that album than any other album?
Well, is the first EP with diferent lineup, it reminds me a lot to Mr.Bungle, like a jazz/funk/fussion with lots of bass slap, solos and taping. Nothing like the rest of the slipknot albums, wich personally I disgust.
I’m not going to argue you with, because I can tell you are a nasty motherfucker by insulting Cliff.
Cliff Burton didn’t ‘suck’. He was a great bassist. He owned everyone. He’s not as good as this guy and others in terms of technical skill, but his passion owns everyone else’s and his creativity does, too.
It’s a matter of opinion pal, I just feel that an overrated metal bassist shouldnt be put anywhere near wooten or jones or lee or clarke. Don’t try and pull out the fact that he’s dead, because thats a lame excuse. Anyone who says this is seriously biased or does not know how to play. And don’t judge me by a single comment, that’s just ignorant.
Sorry Dude but cliff burton is far from the best bassist ever. Theres wooten, clarke, louis johnoson, claypool , flea , bailey, Patitucci, Tom Kennedy, MR. JACO PASTORIUS , and my favorite Marcus Miller. Cliff was the best on his style but far from the best.
Hmm, Im not saying Cliff Burton is a bad bassist, I just thinks it’s ridiculous when people say he’s one of the best. Let alone one of the best in the “Metal” genre. I mean take for example: John Myung. That man is very, very talented. His creativity surpasses Cliffs. He throwns in chords, tapping, and some very impressive finger playing. Cliff did nothing special. And I don’t really think that somone can make a judgment on someones passion either.(Im a fan of Cliff, so Im not biased)
I agree. Victor is by far the best bassist, but my favorite metal bassist (I’m a metal guitarist btw) is Jeroen Paul Thesseling from Obscura. That guy’s skills on the 6 string fretless are amazing, Obscura is one of the most talented bands I’ve ever heard
Flea and Victor Wooten mentioned in the same sentence?? Comon man, there is simply no comparison, dont be ridiculous, thats like comparing Noel Gallagher to Larry Carlton!!
wow…. Victor wooten is possibly the best of all time, aside from maybe flea and jaco. But like the fellas below said, you can’t even really compare them together. I’ll be waiting for your video response to this one that shows you that you can do this stuff.
Uh, Paul Gray does nothing in that song but follow rhythm guitar. BORING. This guy owns Paul Gray
My god… I bet you even dont play bass… Mate Feed Kill Repeat is not a song its a goddamned album but nevermind.

Stop arguing
youre almost right, minus the fact that cliff burton sucked. dont ever say the two names in the same sentence again…

Forever Flea for the drive and groove!
Forever Wooten for the technique and performance!
I agree!;)
victor shits on flea for groove.
You are retarded
Flea and Victor Wooten mentioned in the same sentence?? Comon man, there is simply no comparison, dont be ridiculous, thats like comparing Noel Gallagher to Larry Carlton!!
they i agree with you they are totally different
but you can mention flea and victor wooten in the same sentence by saying you cannot compare flea and victor wooten
man… watching victor wooten play is possibly one of the worst decisions i’ve made. at least claypool is entertaining…
